Novatek, Total, Siemens to cooperate in LNG sales to Vietnam

MOSCOW, Dec 1 (PRIME) -- Novatek Gas & Power Asia, a subsidiary of Russian independent gas producer Novatek, has signed a memorandum of understanding with Total Gas & Power Business Services and Siemens Aktiengesellschaft to cooperate in liquefied natural gas sales to Vietnam and development of infrastructure for gas fired generation plants, Novatek said in a statement on Friday.

“We are very interested in infrastructure projects that create effective marketing channels to deliver produced LNG to end-consumers. Together with our partners, we view the Vietnam as an attractive market considering its growing economy and increasing demand for LNG imports,” the statement quoted Novatek CEO and core owner Leonid Mikhelson as saying.
